Command & Conquer is a real-time strategy game developed by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive in 1995. It is the first game of the Command & Conquer series. The story is about an alternative history featuring two globalized factions: the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) of the United Nations and the Brotherhood of Nod. In 2007, the Windows 95 version has been released as freeware.
