SimCity now building cities on iPhone screens
If you ever enjoyed building sandcastles on a beach and destroying it afterwards, there is a good chance that you were playing one of the many versions of SimCity on a PC as well. EA Mobile recently released an adaptation of the game for the iPhone which lets you create a finely structured city and, if you want to, bring sudden change through monsters or tornadoes.

TEST DRIVE 4 Playstation 1997
Gameplay of the first Pitbull Syndicate TD. IMO the best graphics they made though TD5 has the best game engine. TD6 sadly turned into kiddie arcade gameplay.
Here's in Keswick England, the best track in the game, second only to Switzerland in terms of challenge.

Island Wars - Interactive Studios - Abandonware
I've tried to show that there's virtually an unlimited number of days you cans et the game to. You can also play Human v Computer or Human v Human if you wish. Each day is divided into three stages. Each stage ends either when all the palm trees have been destroyed, or you or the computer player has been destroyed. The game ends when you've completed all the days.
This is quite addictive; especially for free. :) The only down side for some will be that it's keyboard controlled only. Even the menus are keyboard selected, but then this is the older version of the game that was released several years ago when keyboard controls were still common.
There are only a few keys to use so this game is very simple to learn and even easier to play.

Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss
Ultima Underworld was a first-person role-playing game developed by Blue Sky Productions and published by Origin Systems in 1992. It was part of the popular Ultima series and featured significantly more complex technologies and gameplay than other games back then. For example, Ultima Underworld had a completely texture mapped environment and polygonal objects along with a simple physics engine and dynamic lighting. An enhanced version of the game engine was later used for System Shock. It's also notable that Ultima Underworld was released before the well known Wolfenstein 3D. More often than not, the question arises on OSNews why certain projects or pieces of abandonware aren't released as open source software. Supposedly, this would speed up development, facilitate the growth of a community, all that jazz associated with open source development.

Dr. Drago's Madcap Chase - 10 Round Duel Highlights (Part 2)
This is from a fun and educative little board game like strategy game made by Bluebyte Software back in 1995 (or '97, dependig on source) called "Dr. Drago's Madcap Chase" ("Die total verrückte Rallye" in german), which I wanted to upload because no videos of it exist on YouTube. I edited together the highlights of a 10 round game of me playing against a single AI opponent. The original length was around 55 minutes. I first got to know Dr. Drago's Madcap Chase in 1996 when its demo came with The Settlers 2 CD, but now the full version is free abandonware.
The objective of the game is to be the richest player at the end of the game. This is best achieved by being the first one to reach each rounds destination city, which is randomly chosen from one of Europe's capital cities, and win the prize of approximately $100,000. Money earned is best put to use by purchasing things like farms, factories, tourist attractions and other lucrative businesses. The play area consists of different squares which are explained below.
Blue square = Win random amount of money
Red square = Lose random amount of money
Yellow square = Win random card
Purple square = Buy and sell cards
Grey square = City
Black & white square = Capital city
After the first destination capital has been reached, Dr. Drago comes after the player who was farthest away from the destination, and each round does wacky thing that make you lose money, cards, or even businesses. Dr. Drago can be shaken off using a certain card, or by overtaking an opponent or by landing in the same square. When Dr. Drago changes from using a bicycle and rowing boat to a rocket propelled car and airplane, it means that he will be an even greater nuisance to the player he's with. An even worse fate is to have Drago after you when he's piloting a menacing zeppelin.
Recorded with Hyperionics Hypercam 2 and edited with Sony Vegas 7.0. I unfortunately have no idea what the songs are called, because they're all from the game itself and not are listed in the credits.

Ugh! - PC DOS 1992 - Last level and ending
Ugh! is one of those lighthearted games that can be enjoyed both alone or 2 players in co-operation. Travel passengers from A to B in your homemade pedaldriven helicopter device, gather fruit for more time and watch out for dangerous hazards.
This gameplay is of bakkelun and Oldtree completing the last level (level 81) Anchor Song on hard. As you can see, you have to get your timing right.

DOOM I & II on OpenGL using Doomsday Engine
This video has been created using HyperCam... maybe that's the reason of its horrible quality... however, if you like it and you try Doomsday Engine you will see the amazing OpenGL rendered new look of Doom. You can use as engine to play with your registered WADS of Doom, Heretic, Hexen and their expansion packs like Ultimate Doom or Hexen: Death Kings of the Dark Citadel.
Also, the addons packages I used to render like this include:
-remasterized 3D models
-remasterized weapons
-remasterized powerups & objects
-remasterized environment & user interface
-remasterized textures and OpenGL / Direct3D rendering
